What’s Coming Up
A look at the competitions, camps and club events we are working towards. We want our gymnasts to always have something ahead of them to prepare for, enjoy and be excited about.
Some events are already confirmed, while others are still being organised or pencilled in for later in the year. This page shows the direction we are working towards and will be updated as dates and details are confirmed.
Autumn Term
Starting the year with external squad competition and an in-club competition for our recreational gymnasts.
IGA Regionals
Senior Elite and selected Floor & Vault Squad gymnasts will represent SWL, competing in Floor & Vault and All-Round competition.
Recreational Competition
An in-club competition giving our recreational gymnasts the opportunity to perform, compete and show the progress they have made during the term.
Spring Term
A busy term of squad preparation, competition, camps and a possible club show.
Squad Competition
An in-club competition for our squads to perform their routines and build experience competing under pressure in a familiar environment.
Half-Term Gymnastics Camps
Extra gymnastics sessions and camps planned for the February half-term break.
IGA Floor & Vault Competition
Selected squad gymnasts will work towards representing SWL at another external Floor & Vault competition.
Spring / Easter Show
We are also exploring a club show during the Spring Term, giving gymnasts another opportunity to perform and allowing families to see more of what they have been working on.
Summer Term
Finishing the gymnastics year with more opportunities to perform and compete inside the club.
Recreational Competition
Another in-club competition for our recreational gymnasts towards the end of the gymnastics year.
Mock Squad Competition
A mock competition allowing squad gymnasts to practise complete routines, presentation and competing under realistic competition conditions.
Next Autumn
Some of our bigger ideas for the following gymnastics year are already beginning to take shape.
Autumn Recreational Competition
We plan to continue giving recreational gymnasts regular opportunities to compete inside the club with another competition next Autumn.
SWL Christmas Show
We are planning towards a bigger Christmas show bringing gymnasts together from across the club to perform for families and finish the year with a major club event.
Always something to work towards
Our aim is to give gymnasts regular goals throughout the year — whether that is learning new skills, preparing for an in-club event, attending a camp, performing in a show or representing SWL at an external competition.
Plans can change as venues, competition organisers and dates are confirmed. We will keep this page updated as each event becomes final.
